15 EPIC LOVE STORIES THAT MAKE US BLAME TV FOR OUR HIGHER EXPECTATIONS IN LIFE

Let’s be real, part of the reasons why we watch television is to escape from our ordinary lives and live some else’s story through our screen. This is why a love story is so important for a successful tv show.

While I have to admit some of these relationships that I’m about to mention are problematic in so many ways, I can’t deny it was an epic love story made in Television Heaven.

Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert (The Vampire Diaries)

Whether you were Team Stefan at some point, you can’t deny Damon’s transformation was the main heart of that show and Elena was the main key to turn this bad boy into a decent person.

Mr. Big and Carrie (Sex and The City)

In real life, if you met Mr. Big you probably should have run from him, but Sex and The City turned a toxic guy into a Knight In Shining Armor.

Eric and Sookie (True Blood)

Well, this love story turns one of my favorite vampires in cinema into a joke, but Sookie and Eric are match made in True Blood Heaven.

Finn and Rachel (Glee)

Obviously, the real-life chemistry translated to screen, Leah Michelle and Corey Monteith made this love story worthy of this list and also made us believe that soulmates do exist.

Chandler and Monica (Friends)

The key to a successful relationship is friendship, and Chandler and Monica started as friends and found each other, which is why their love story is perfect.

President Fitzgerald and Olivia Pope (Scandal)

You know the love story is Epic when the president decides to go to war to save you.

Joey and Pacey (Dawson’s Creek)

Pacey Witter is one of the best characters in TV History and I blame Kevin Williamson for my higher expectations in love, but who can blame me? We all deserve a Pacey Witter after all.

Daphne Bridgerton and The Duke (Bridgerton)

They are proof you can go from hate to love in a blink of an Eye.

Leonard and Penny (The Big Bang Theory)

Find somebody that looks at you like Leonard looks at Penny in basically every episode of the 12 seasons run of the show. Also if you want something don’t give up at some point if you play the right moves you will get it.

David and Patrick (Schitt’s Creek)

David Rose is one of the best characters on TV and he deserved the kind of love he found in Patrick. Honest, Understanding, Caring and most of all we all deserve a partner that we are allowed to be ourselves in every way.

Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo (Games of Thrones)

This love story didn’t last long but for sure was Epic. What started as an arranged marriage turn into passionate and strong love and is one of the reasons Daenerys turned out to be such a strong woman.

Emma Swan and Captain Hook (Once Upon A Time)

Once Upon A Time… The daughter of Prince Charming and Snow White fell in love with Captain Hook and also gave us one of the coolest weddings on TV.

Blair and Chuck Bass(Gossip Girl)

What happens when two of the most self-centered and selfish people on the planet fall in Love? It takes a couple of seasons of back and forth, dating other people to make each other jealous but in the end, Chuck and Blair delivered a real and painful love story as Epic as the show itself.

Rebecca and Jack Pearson (This Is Us)

I wasn’t sure love like Rebecca and Jack existed until a heard the story about my friend Julie’s parents, being together a bunch of years and still love each story the same way. While I don’t know If their story is anything like Jack and Rebecca’s, I can tell you that the Pearsons are the perfect American family we all dream of, with ups and downs they manage to make a family that we can envy for the rest of our lives.

Sara and Ava (Legends of Tomorrow)

There’s a saying in Spanish “Del odio al amor solo hay un Paso” From hate to love there’s only one step. And that’s exactly what happens with Captain Sarah Lance and former Time Bureau Agent Ava Sharpe, they are one of the funniest, honest, and caring couples on tv and one of the reasons I love The Legends.

These are some of the greatest love stories that make you blame television for higher expectations in life, let’s be real nobody is going to blame you for wanting an Epic Love Story.
