It’s not a secret that Zachary Levi is one of my favorites, that’s why Chuck was an obvious choice for next Quarantine Binge-Watch.
A minute into the pilot and there was no turning back, I was charmed by Chuck.
Maybe it was the fact the main character was played by Zachary Levy or maybe it was that I don’t always find a comedy that I like.
Two weeks later, I Binge-Watch the entire series (5 seasons) and this is what makes Chuck special:
1. A perfect mix between action and comedy
A comedy about Spies obviously was going to have action. But Chuck has the right amount of each to make it perfect. Also, the fact that you have a lead female character played by Yvonne Strahovski (Handmaid’s Tale) kicking ass more than the men on the show it totally makes it a worth watch.
2. Thank God for modern technology, green screen scenes look horrible back in 2007.
I have to admit that the scenes filmed on a green screen were a little painful to watch. But they are easy to forget when you have good acting.
3. Chuck it’s not Jack Bauer but that’s what makes him special
A Spy with a heart, you don’t see that very often. That is exactly what that character is all about and what of the key factors why I love the show so much. No matter what your training is sometimes it is better to follow the heart instead of the brain.
4. Not your typical love story
The relationship between Chuck and Sarah was different from the beginning, but the fact the finale of the show didn’t focus on getting them back together was one of the things that I like the most.
It was all about Chuck doing the right thing and that was the ending that the show was supposed to have.
5. Being a nerd is cool
It was about time that tv series shows that being a nerd a Cool. Yes, we love computers, Yes we read comics, yes we love pop culture, yes we know movie quotes, that doesn’t mean we are not cool, Just watch Chuck and find out how cool being a nerd can be.
If you like comedy, Zachary Levi and action scenes Chuck should be your next binge-watch.
