Why Prodigal Son is the show you need to Binge Watch

I wasn’t this obsessed with a fictional serial killer since Dexter Morgan. That was until Prodigal Son.

One of the best new shows of 2019-2020, Prodigal Son follows Malcolm Bright a brilliant criminal profiler with a unique ability to study the mind of the murderer.

Malcolm works with the NYPD while dealing with childhood issues that come with being the son of prolific serial killer Martin Whitley, brilliantly played by Martin Sheen.

If you are still not convinced this is the show to binge-watch, let me give a couple of more reasons why you should watch Prodigal Son.

Twist – Twists and more Twist

Prodigal Son Keeps you guessing, every episode is full of twists and thrills and when you think you have it all figure it out something comes to surprise you. There is no room for boredom in this show.

Tom Payne and Michael Sheen match made in tv heaven

Casting could have not been better. Every scene Payne and Sheen do together is a masterpiece, the combination of a good script, the personal touch each actor gives to the character and the chemistry on screen makes each scene brilliant and memorable.

The best thing that happened to Tom Payne was being killed on Walking Dead. I know we love Jesus, but let me tell you this role was perfectly made for him.

The Audience Is literally transport to the mind of the killer

Every scene when Michaels enters the mind of the killer is a dream. The audience ger transported right along with the actor in one of the most interesting and entertaining things of this series.

A New Episode…A New Case

Although this is the formula for most crime-drama on television, Prodigal Son has a creative a different way to approach each case and is one of the reason why is one of my favorite new shows.

Binge-Watch the entire first season now

And the best reason to watch Prodigal Son is…You don’t have to wait. You can binge-watch the entire first season right now. Believe me, I had to wait not only for the winter finale but also for production to find out how they were going to wrap the season after the pandemic shut down the production with two episodes left to film. And that wasn’t fun. With a show like this that keeps you guessing all the time the best way to watch is binge-watch.

If you still not convinced this is the show for you here a look at season one that you can stream on Hulu or Fox. Season 2 premieres January 2021.
